Katherine S. Stamps, 84, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Telford Terrace.
Mrs. Stamps, the daughter of the late Glenn and Ora Weaver Sites, was born in Newton, North Carolina, on April 6, 1930. She was a school teacher for 40 years in seven states and loved all of "her kids." She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Madison County Women's Republican Organization and Madison County Right to Life. On April 21, 1957, she united in marriage to Gerald Stamps who preceded her in death on April 8, 2002.
Survivors include: her daughter: Kathie Stamps of Lexington; three sons: Tim Stamps of Lexington, David (Shirley) Stamps of Cape Coral, FL and Paul (Amy) Stamps of Fredericksburg, VA; two brothers: Allen (Velma) Sites and Ronnie Sites; six grandchildren: Andrew, Daniel, Luke, Martha, Joshua and Jacob Stamps; her great granddaughter: Ava and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 19, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 425 Eastern Bypass, Richmond with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Hospice Care Plus, 208 Kidd Dr., Berea, KY 4040 or Madison Co. Right to Life, P O Box 361, Richmond, KY 40475. Honorary Pallbearers will be member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
