Janice Rose Mayne Dunbar, age 77, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. She was born in Florence, Kentucky on December 18, 1937 to the late Clarence and Lucy Morgan Mayne. She was a pharmacy tech at Berea Drug and a member of the Hays Fork Baptist Church. She graduated from Kingston High School and was active in organizing the Kingston High School reunions. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed Weight Watchers and bowling.
Mrs. Dunbar is survived by: her husband, Bill Dunbar of Berea; son, James Wayne (Linda) Dunbar of Portage, Indiana; daughter, Wanda Joyce (Rick) Cox of Lexington; brothers, Buford (Glenda) Mayne of Berea, David (Sharyn) Mayne of Venice, Florida; grandchildren: Mike Dunbar and Cliff Cox. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Mayne.
Funeral service for Mrs. Dunbar will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
