Obituary

Mr. Huey Bailey, 95, of Oliver Dr., passed away Sunday, January 4, 2014 at his home.
Mr. Bailey, the son of the late Marion and Eliza Couch Bailey, was born in Wise, Virginia on September 25, 1919. He was a man of many interests and talents. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and spent many years repairing televisions and refinishing wood. In addition to his family, he was most proud of his accomplishments as a retired Chief Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force. Having served in World War II, Mr. Bailey flew special missions for both the President and Vice President.
On January 23, 1951, Mr. Bailey united in marriage to Clara Kathryn Elliott Bailey. They recently celebrated 64 years of marriage.
He is also survived by three sons: Wayne (Lana) Bailey of Berea, Larry Bailey of Richmond and Coy (Gail) Bulluck of Augusta, GA; his daughter: Carolyn Lowery (Randall Williams) of Richmond; his sister: Pauline (Bob) Maggard; six grandchildren: Derek Bulluck, Marnie Elaine (Gerald) Bowles, Stephanie (Eddie) Anglin, Matthew (Ami) Bailey, Jeremy Bailey (Leticia Harper) and Heather (Miles) Masiaitis; eight great grandchildren and one on the way and one great-great grandchild and one on the way.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bailey was also preceded in death by this twin brother: Dewey Bailey and his brothers: Stanely Bailey, Rudolph Bailey and Marion H. Bailey and this sister: Lucy Bailey.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Zackary Fish, Miles Masiaitis, Eddie Anglin, Derek Bulluck, Gerald Boyles, Matthew Bailey and Jeremy Bailey.
