Helen Mae Murray age 78 of Berea, went to be with Jesus on August 1, 2015. Helen was born June 14, 1937 to the late James and Minnie (Van) Van Winkle of Morrill Kentucky. Helen was a past employee of Berea Hospital, Pattie A Clay Hospital and Berea Health Care Center where she worked as a nurse's aide and switch board operator. Helen loved her kids, her family, and her friends, she enjoyed fishing, playing cards and most of all she loved the Lord. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and father of her children Cletus Willis and her husband Ed Murray, her son Gary Willis, and her brother Willie Van Winkle, and two sisters Bessie Van Winkle, and Edna Gadd. Helen is survived by her children; two daughters Connie Willis of Berea, Patsy Woolum of Richmond, and sons Kenny Willis of Richmond, Donnie Willis of Richmond, and Ronnie (Jean) Willis of Berea, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 1 pm at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Smith officiating, burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Andy Woolum, Aaron Willis, Roger Van Winkle, BJ Short, John Wayne Hayes, Bill Castle, Andrew Woolum, and Zach Chorum.
