Mrs. Betty Faye Shaffer Witt, 69, of Salt Lick, Kentucky, formerly of Richmond, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015 at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead. She was born in Washington Court House, Ohio on August 22, 1945. She retired from the Madison County School System as a bus driver. Her big heartedness shown through in the many years that she spent volunteering with Special Olympics of Madison County. While in Richmond, she had attended Clarksville Baptist Church. In 1974, Mrs. Witt was united in marriage to Charles Witt. They recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. She is also survived by her son: Mark Witt of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; their daughter: Tina Witt of Lexington; two brothers, two sisters, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and one on the way. Mrs. Witt was preceded in death by her son: Keith Witt and her sister: Chris Weaver. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mark Witt, Brian Ray Sebastian, Shawn Noe, Shannon Scott, Jonathan Witt and Duane Tevis.
